For over 25 years, we have been welcoming travelers from around the world and partnering with travel agencies across more than 20 countries. We have organized thousands of tours — from gentle cultural sightseeing programs to extreme multi-week expeditions across the Gobi Desert and Altai Mountains.
Today, over 80% of our business is B2B. Travel agencies trust us as their Mongolia ground operator because we deliver consistent quality, transparent pricing, and reliable communication. Our 5.0 out of 5 TripAdvisor rating across 185+ reviews reflects the care and professionalism we bring to every journey.
Our approach is built on a few simple principles:
Customization — No two clients are the same. We design every program from scratch to match our partner’s brand, their clients’ expectations, and the specific experience they want to deliver. We do not sell pre-packaged tours.
Local expertise — Our team lives and works in Mongolia. We know the roads, the weather patterns, the best guides in each region, the ger camps worth staying at, and the hidden places that no guidebook mentions. This knowledge is what makes our tours exceptional.
Sustainability — We prioritize local services to support Mongolian communities. We hire local guides, drivers, and cooks. We partner with family-run ger camps and lodges. We implement strict waste management and recycling across all our activities and minimize our environmental impact in every region we visit.
Communication — We promise clear and rapid email communication. We respond within 24 hours, we provide detailed itineraries with transparent costing, and we keep our partners informed at every stage of the process.
Safety — Every tour includes experienced guides, well-maintained vehicles, quality equipment, satellite communication on remote routes, first aid supplies, and clear emergency protocols. Your clients’ safety is our first priority.

EXCELLENT Based on 3 reviews Posted on Isabelle SalleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great service, fantastic trip, very decent price. We rented an old four-wheel landcruiser and drove ourselves throughout the country. Everything was super smooth. Otgon was always super reactive and their cars are really good! It is the best way to enjoy these incredible landscapes. Maps.me is very accurate and you always find people on the road to help you out with directions. Thanks a lot for everything!Posted on Simon JohnstonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to have you travelling with us in Mongolia. All the best.Posted on MirkontinentalTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My parents and I have recently come back from a 9 day (8 nights) Central Mongolia private tour organized by Mongolian dot Travel with pick up and drop-off at our hotel in Ulanbataar. I must say the tour was well planned and had a good balance of nature, culture and adventure. Our guide and driver made a good pair, it was visible they often work together and they proved to be reliable, patient, competent and hard-working. The accomodation at the tented camps were all good and the cherry on the cake was the stay at a nomadic family, which couldn't have been more real and authentic. I must thank Mrs.Otgon Tsend for her clear, fast and accurate communication, which was one of the key factors for us to choose the tour. Definitely recommend to use their services!

Posted on Oscar JVerified Great Tour Went on the 4 day winter national park tour was an incredible experience. Bold the tour guide was incredible in his knowledge and experience. Living with nomadic families for 3 nights in the national parks was an incredible experience I won’t forget. Each Ger I stayed at was incredibly hospitable and the families were exceptionally kind.Posted on Isabelle SVerified Fantastic self drive tour by ourselves Great service, fantastic trip, very decent price, most reactive company that we have contacted. It is the best way to enjoy these incredible landscapes. Maps.me is very accurate and you always find people on the road to help you out with directions. What a fantastic experience! We will be back for the north and the west of the country. Thanks a lot for everything!Posted on Simon JohnstonVerified Exceptional Service & Unforgettable Winter Adventure I had been dreaming of visiting Mongolia for over 10 years, and thanks to Otgon and Mongolia Dot Travel, this finally became a reality. Since moving to China with my young family, I had attempted to travel to Mongolia twice last year, and when I finally made a last-minute plan in January, their outstanding communication and flexibility made it happen seamlessly. Otgon, in particular, was fantastic—we initially communicated via email, and as the trip approached, we moved to WhatsApp for quicker coordination. As I was traveling in the middle of winter with my 7-year-old, they created the perfect itinerary, balancing adventure, safety, and comfort where needed. What stood out the most was their assurance and support with visas, hotel arrangements, and itinerary adjustments on the go. With temperatures well below freezing, I needed flexibility while traveling with a child, and they delivered beyond expectations. They arranged an incredible driver, comfortable hotel options, heated yurt stays, and a well-planned schedule of daily activities. Some highlights included: Staying in a traditional yurt under a crisp winter sky. Dog sledding in Terelj National Park—a truly magical experience. Spotting wild horses in Khustai National Park—a breathtaking moment. Hiking to a monastery, embracing the raw beauty of Mongolia’s landscapes. I rarely write reviews, but exceptional service deserves recognition. Having traveled to over 100 countries and 35 with my 7-year-old, I can confidently say this was one of the most well-organised and nurturing travel experiences I’ve had. I needed this when travel in tempretures that got as low as -32 on one morning! Thank you to Otgon and Mongolia Dot Travel for an unforgettable journey! I’ll definitely be returning in the summer with the rest of my family. Highly recommended! Definitely recommend to use their services!Posted on knevyVerified Hiking/camping trip in Mongolia Thank you Happy Camel for the most amazing adventure experience in Mongolia. 2 weeks hiking in The Altai Mts. (With not a single other tourist to be seen in 2 weeks) Everything was organised by email from Australia perfectly by Happy Camel in Mongolia. Thank you to our fabulous Guide/cook Tugi and horseman Arna and 2 camel men. Everyday was a new experience from glaciers, to snow capped mountains to steppes and herds upon herds of goats, yaks, horses, sheep. Walking in fields of every colour flower imaginable. You gave us the best memories. The second part of our trip was 2 weeks in and around the Gobi. Fabulous. Thank you to our driver Arboo and guide Ansie, who went out of their way to take us to non touristy places as well as the well know sites. So well organised, such an adventure every day. Highly recommend Happy Camel. KerryPosted on Ludo JVerified Professionele begeleiding tijdens ons off road trip Unieke ervaring, wonderbaarlijke landschappen en altijd heel gastvrij ontvangen door de plaatselijke nomads.Posted on 91PaigeVerified Fall Break Escape My friend and I scheduled the 5-day Kharmiin Monastery tour with Happy Camel over our fall break, and we were both happy with the trip. There was a small snag at the start due to a change in the train schedule, but Happy Camel went above and beyond to ensure the trip didn't suffer. Bukhuu, our guide, spoke excellent English and made the tour feel more like a friend showing us around than an overly-structured canned tour. Bottled water was readily available as were snacks (thanks to Bukhuu's Mary Poppins-packed bag). The nomadic family we stayed with also had sheep, goats, and a very friendly dog that joined us for one of our rides with the camels. That evening we were even able to catch a glimpse of black tail antelope! At the monastery, tourists should be aware that this is an actual, functioning monastery and they are likely to see Mongolians gathering to pray and give offerings. Be mindful of when you take photos (though photos were definitely welcomed). Also, be sure to have a 5,000MNT bill on you. There is a machine inside that will give coins you can take as a souvenir :) As expats in UB we definitely look forward to booking more trips with Happy Camel!Posted on AndyVerified Fantastic Mongolia Tour Provider We decided to travel to Mongolia during the Spring which is considered the off season. Most tour companies were not operating but Happy Camel were more than willing to accommodate us. From start to finish the service they provided was nothing short of impeccable. To start with we stupidly didn't research VISA's (which Brits need to visit Mongolia) having realised this the day before travelling we panickingly contacted them and against all odds they were able to sort us out with VISA's. We really didn't think we'd be able to get on the plane and they really moved mountains to help us. Before we set off they organised a bespoke itinerary based on our interests, travelling though the Gobi staying with nomadic families. We travelled with one driver and one tour guide, both of whom were professional, knowledgeable, and generally very impressive. You can see from the photos we visited some incredible sights and our tour guide Tsatsrsl provided us with indespensible local knowledge and some great stories. We had to face some seriously adverse weather conditions, sand storms and blizzards but our drivers experience meant they were able to adapt our itenarary and keep us safe! The Gobi can be a harsh and unforgiving place as we learnt, but we always felt totally safe with the support of the Happy Camel team. I have to say, even though we travelled during an unpopular time of year and for the most part we were the only tourists in sight, this was the trip of a lifetime. They accommodated our every request and blended comfort with authenticity seamlessly. The package they provided included everything except flights and made our journey painless and gave us the peace of mind to really enjoy everything and fully engage with the beautiful culture of Mongolia. I would recommend this company to anyone traveling to Mongolia. 10/10 flawless experience.Posted on Ulrika183Verified Great Gobi trip with driver We were 5 ladies on an overland girls trip. We had a driver who did not speak English and this turned out to be great. We managed to communicate with him through "sign" language and through the Happy Camel office. This gave us a real authentic experience and we felt very safe since he was a very good and experienced driver. We took the Gobi route and it was an amazing experience with forever changing views and scenery. When you travel without a guide you will need to do a fair amount of research on your own before departing and get a local phone card with data so that you can find out information about the places you're going to and also about the accommodation. Most of the time the driver will take you to good "tourist camps" with a clean bed, toilet and good food. Otgon in the office was very good at communicating swiftly and answered any questions that we had regarding visas, packing and routes. I would recommend Happy Camel to other adventurous travellers who like to travel off the beaten track.
